So, Guys! Diwali is approaching and as usual I am excited to make something new and exciting as Diwali sweets. Coconut ladoo is one among the most popular Diwali faral(sweets) and is prepared in variety of ways.
Usually, I prepare coconut ladoo using long method by preparing sugar syrup first and then adding either roasted fresh coconut or dry coconut. But it is bit time consuming , as first you have to prepare single consistency sugar syrup and then prepare the laddus..
But this time let’s see how quick these ladoos can be prepared . You just need few ingredients , which I am sure will be readily available in your pantry. Prepare these yum ladoos in less then 20 minutes and save your strength , because I am sure you guys will have to make a lot of sweets ahead this festive season.
Preparation time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 5 Minutes
Yields : 10-12
- 1 1/2 Cup Dry Desiccated coconut + little extra for rolling
- 3/4 Cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1/2 or 1 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
- Ghee/Clarified butter for greasing your palm
Combine dry coconut and condensed milk in a medium saucepan.
Keep the pan on low heat and keep mixing till the coconut and condensed milk gets combined well. It will take less then 5 minutes. Make sure you keep mixing using spatula scrubbing the bottom and sides of the pan, otherwise the mixture sticks to the bottom quickly.
Add cardamom powder and mix.
Remove it on a plate.
Grease your palm with little ghee and take about 2 tablespoon of this mixture . Start to make laddu.
Repeat for the rest of the mixture.
Roll these ladus well in the dry desiccated coconut which was kept aside.
Enjoy and refrigerate the rest of these Instant Coconut Ladoos in an airtight container.
