Ladoo is an Indian Sweet recipe specifically prepared during Festivals like Diwali , Ganesh Chaturthi loved by elders to kids. Ladoos can be prepared in a variety of ways. There are Besan ladoos, Coconut ladoos, Motichur ladoos, churma ladoo, til ladoo. Below is rava ladoo or suji ladoo recipe. This is a quick sweet recipe, very simple and takes around 15 minutes.
1 1/2 Cup rava or Suji
1/2 Cup powdered Sugar
3-4 Cardamoms crushed to powder
3-4 Tablespoons of warm milk
1/4 Cup Ghee or Clarified Butter
Handful of golden raisins
Dry roast suji or rawa on medium heat till nice and fragrant. Don’t allow it to burn.
Remove on a wide plate and allow to cool for about 5 minutes.
Once sooji is cooled , cardamom powder , golden raisins and sugar .
Heat ghee in microwave or on stovetop till it is nice and warm.
Pour it over the sooji mixture and mix well.
Add in warm milk and start mixing.
You will now get the binding consistency mixture.
Start shaping up into ladoos.
If you feel that the mixture is too dry to shape, add a teaspoon of milk at a time and continue .
It is always better to finish them within 2-3 days or refrigerate and finish within a 7-8 days.
