This is a sweet dish recipe called sweet semolina or godacha sheera or just sheera. This sheera recipe is a quick one.
Time: Approximately 15 minutes
- 1 Cup Semolina or Sooji(in hindi) or Rava(in marathi)
- ¾ cup of ghee or clarified butter.
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ cup dry rasins
- 1 pinch saffron(kesar) strands kept in 2 tsp warm milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup milk
In a pan take ghee and fry raisins for a minute. Keep them aside. In the same pan, add semolina. Fry till you get nice fragrance. Keep this aside.
Boil milk and water and add this to fried semolina . Mix till milk and water is completely absorbed. Add Sugar .
Mix. Add saffron milk and sir properly. Switch off the stove. Let it be on the stove for 5-10 minutes . Now it is ready to eat.
