Kheema means ground meat and in spicy kheema recipe, let’s see how lovely we can turn the ground meat into wonderful dish. Spicy and tasty.
The other day, my husband bought chicken kheema(ground or minced chicken) from Walmart, and I had no idea what to do with ground chicken. So, I did some research.
First , I thought that I would go for ground chicken burger or ground chicken tacos, but then changed my mind and thought of doing something hot and spicy which we can eat with rice, naan or any kind of bread.
I quickly checked my spices and other stuff I got in kitchen, and came up with this quick and easy recipe for ground chicken. I have this hot red chili powder with me , which I brought from Walmart, so used it along with other spices and the outcome was great.
So let us see the step by step recipe for this hot and spicy ground chicken.

Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes
1 Lb (400 grams) Minced Chicken(Ground Chicken)
1 Tomato, Chopped into small pieces
1 Medium sized Onion, chopped fine
2-3 Bay leaves
5-6 Black Pepper
2-3 Cloves Grated Garlic
1 Teaspoon Ginger Paste(or grated ginger)
4-5 Chopped Green Chilies
1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
1 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
1 Teaspoon Red Chili powder(Adjust according to how hot you want)
1 Teaspoon Garam Masala(Optional)
1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar or lime juice
Bunch of Chopped coriander(Cilantro) + Extra for garnishing
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil (or any other cooking oil)
In a saucepan, kept on medium heat, add oil. Sauté bay leaves, cloves and pepper for few seconds until aromatic.
Add chopped onions and saute, till onions change color (Approximiately 5 minutes). Then add ginger garlic . Saute till raw smell goes away.
Add chopped tomatoes .and saute till they are soft and mushy.
Add chopped Green chilies,turmeric powder and fry for a minute.
