Homemade Egg Puffs/Egg Pattis/Egg Appetizer
This is an easy egg snack  which can be eaten any time and kids love them. We used to eat during our childhood and they were called egg patties. I have here an easy recipe of how to make egg puffs or egg pattis. The ingredients are also very limited. I have used store bought puff pastry sheet. You can also use homemade.
So here is the step by step recipe of egg puffs.
Serving: 4 Egg puffs
Time: Â Â 20 Minutes
Ingredients:
- Puff Pastry
- 2 Hard boiled eggs
- 1/2 Â Tomato
- 1/2 Onion
- 3-4 tbsps of milk for glazing
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- salt to taste
Method:
Chop tomatoes.
Slice the onions.
Cut hard boiled eggs into two.
In a heated pan, Add 1 tbsp oil , in that add onion and fry till they change color to golden brown. Add tomatoes and fry until they become mushy.
Add coriander powder and salt.
Fry for a minute and switch off the stove.
Cut the puff pastry into 3 inch x 3 inch square.
Spread a spoonful of above tomato mix on the pastry square.
Keep an egg half on top and fold the square sides.
Repeat for all and place them on the baking tray . Apply some milk on top of each puff for nice glaze.
Bake for around 10 minutes in a 350 degree Fahrenheit preheated oven.
Remove and serve hot with Tomato ketchup.
