Instant Stuffed Idli / Healthy Microwaved stuffed Idli
Instant Stuffed Idli / Healthy Microwaved stuffed Idli is made without any fermentation and without any idli pan within 4-5 minutes. Also These idlis are stuffed with potato vegetable(batata bhaji) which makes them more tastier.
Idli is a South Indian recipe, normally eaten with chutney and sambar. Normally Idli batter is prepared and fermented overnight and then the idlis are prepared the next day using idli pan.
Normally idlis are made using rice flour, but here I have also added oats flour which makes them more healthy. The taste is not compromised here.
Serving: 3
Time: 15- 20 Minutes
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup ( 118 Grams) Â Rice flour
- 1/2 Cup (118 Grams) Oats Flour
- 1/3 Cup (78 Grams) Urad dal flour
- 1 Teaspoon Eno fruit salt
- 1 Teaspoon lime juice.
- Oil for greasing
- Salt to taste
Method:
Grease the microwave safe bowls with a teaspoon of oil.
Mix all the flour together , add little water and keep this batter for 10 -15 Minutes.
Just before you make idlis, add eno ,lime juice and salt, Mix and take little batter and add into one of the bowl.
Take a spoonful of potato bhaji and put on top of this batter. Cover this bhaji by adding more batter.
Remember not to fully cover up your bowl, as the idlis will rise after they are cooked.
Microwave one bowl at a time for approximately 4 minutes.
Check by inserting a toothpick. It should come out clean.
Invert this idli on a plate.
Repeat the process for the remaining idlis.
And your breakfast is all ready.
Serve your hot  healthy stuffed idlis with any dips or chutneys of your choice. I prefer garlic chutney.
