Bhindi Chili Mix /Bhindi chili Masala / Okra Mix
Bhindi or Lady Finger or Okra subzi is one of my favorite vegetables. It tastes good however you prepare it. We usually make simple dry vegetable out of it or fry it, but this time thought of giving it a different flavor. Was looking over Bhindi Masala recipe over the internet and found out many. But I slightly made some changes in this Okra Masala and gave it a Chinese touch by adding a bit of  Soya Sauce. It really tasted good and my son asked for more.Â
So here is my step by step recipe for Okra Mix or Bhindi Chili Masala or Bhindi Chili Mix. You can call it anything literally.
Ingredients:
- 500 gms Okra/Bhindi
- 1 tsp coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeera
- 1 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Soya Sauce
- Salt to taste
- 1 Chopped Onion
- 2-3 Chopped Garlic
- 2-3 Chopped Green Chilies
Method:
First Wash Bhindi and dry thoroughly with Kitchen Towel. Cut Okra or Bhindi vertically into 4.
Now in a Wok kept on stove, add a tablespoon of oil and after oil gets hot, add cumin seeds. Once Cumin seeds splutter, add garlic. Mix and add onions. Cover and let onions cook for a while. This will take around 2-3 minutes.
Add Green chilies. Mix well and add Okra. Mix , Cover and cook until Okra is fully done checking in between. The okra should turn soft.
Add Salt, coriander powder, soya sauce and Tomato Ketchup. Mix , Cover and cook for a minute.
Remove from the heat and serve with any bread.
