However, when it comes to an Instant Pot (or something similar like a pressure cooker) you’ll find that it’s not just a one-use appliance that you forget about after a few days. In reality, something like an Instant Pot can actually help you cook food more easily, it’s extremely convenient for larger meals, and you can use it for many different kinds of recipes. In fact, there are some recipe books that are entirely dedicated to using an Instant Pot.

They’re safer than you think

People tend to think that pressure cookers are dangerous, but the reality is that they’ve become much safer than their initial designs back in the early 1950s. These days, Instant Pots and other multicookers are extremely safe thanks to having numerous sensors and safety mechanisms.

It’s one of the most convenient ways to cook some meals

If you love cooking elaborate meals then you’ll love using an Instant Pot. It drastically speeds up the cooking time for certain meals which can be extremely convenient if you want to eat something that usually takes a day to cook such as ribs or brisket. Many people believe that the quality of the food from an Instant Pot is lower than if you were to cook the foods the “right way”, but the reality is that it’s just as good and much easier to do.

Recipes that are exclusive to an Instant Pot

While you don’t need to own an Instant Pot to make certain dishes, there are many simpler recipes that you can cook using one. In fact, there are some recipes that are made exclusively for the appliance, such as Instant Pot apple butter. It’s also really easy to make some of these recipes. For instance, you could just throw everything into the pot, change it to the right setting, then you just need to wait for it to do its thing. Instant Pot recipes are so simple that you can set them to cook as soon as you come home from work and they’ll be ready in time for dinner.

More than just a pressure cooker

Many people incorrectly assume that an Instant Pot is just a fancy pressure cooker with a brand name. While it’s somewhat true, an Instant Pot is a real multi cooking appliance that does a lot more. You can use it to steam items, it can be used to sear things like a stove, and you can even use it as a rice cooker. There are so many different things that you can make in a multicooker like the Instant Pot that it really doesn’t deserve to be called a single-use appliance like a toaster.
