Karupatti Coffee/ Dry Ginger Coffee
Karupatti coffee or dry ginger coffee is an effective remedy for cough and cold. Perfect for winter season.
Finally I am back on my blog after a long break . Lately keeping busy with some work or the other and since the weather is changing now, just don’t feel like getting up early and working in kitchen.
Speaking of weather, chilly winters and sinus have a serious bonding with each other. At least for me its just a pain during winters. Soar throat, cough,
cold, sneezes, you name it. And I hate to visit doctors. Thats the reason keep researching about some homemade remedies for quick relief. Recently found out about Karupatti coffee which is prepared using dry ginger along with other spices and served with palm jaggery.
Palm jaggery has its own benefits like, it improves digestion, good source of iron thereby increasing haemoglobin level, rich in Magnesium which regulates nervous system etc etc etc.. Despite of these benefits, also helps in cough and cold. So, thought of giving a try to karupatti coffee and for me it was really very effective.
In Goa we make something called as “Kasai” for cold and I found this South Indian recipe similar to it . These days I am having this coffee almost everyday and finding it really effective. That reminds me , I have my karupatti powder is already getting over and have to rush to prepare. So, here’s the recipe for you and I am heading over to my kitchen now for my cup of coffee. Happy winters. 🙂
