Deviled eggs or deviled eggs are also called as, stuffed eggs, angel eggs, eggs mimosa, Russian eggs, dressed eggs, picnic eggs. They are hard-boiled eggs, shelled and cut into halves lengthwise. The egg yolks are removed and mixed with other ingredients like spices or herbs of your choice or any kind of vegetables and scooped inside the egg whites.
Deviled eggs are usually served as a side dish, appetizer or a main course.
Today I made a slight variation to the Classic Devilled eggs by mixing the guacamole with the egg yolks and then stuffing it inside egg whites and believe me, this is the best-devilled eggs recipes I ever tasted.
So let us see how to make this simple devilled eggs with guacamole.
Serving: 6 Pieces
Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Egg Boiling Time: 15 Minutes
1 Ripe Avocado
3 Hard Boiled Eggs
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder(can be substituted with grated garlic)
1 Teaspoon Onion Powder(can be substituted with finely chopped onion)
1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
1/2 Teaspoon Oregano Powder(Optional)
1 Tablespoon Lime Juice
Cilantro/Coriander leaves for garnishing(Optional)
Salt to taste
Peel and scoop up the avacado pulp in a bowl and mash it well.
Add Garlic powder, onion powder, ground pepper, Oregano Power , lime juice and salt.
Remove the shells of hard boiled eggs and cut them into halves(lengthwise). To make it easier to remove the egg shells next time, maybe investing in something like a boiled egg peeler could be something worth looking into. Who wouldn’t want to save time when it comes to cooking?
Remove the egg yolks.
Mix 2 egg yolks(Use the third one for some other recipe) into the prepared Guacamole and mix well.
Scoop up the mixture and place into each half of the egg whites.
Garnish with Cilantro and serve these lovely healthy and easy deviled eggs either chilled or at room temperature.
