Ragda Pattice/How To Make Ragda Patties
Ragda Patice is a famous street food in India and is loved by everyone. This dish is also served in Indian Restaurants serving fast food.
Recipe of Ragda Patties has two parts: Ragda, a dried peas(akka vatana) stew and Patties which is also called Aloo Tikki  , a shallow fried potato cutlet. Both of them are prepared separately, and then assembled along with some tangy chutneys and spices.
The dried peas have to be soaked overnight or for 6-8 hours and next they are pressure cooked till soft.
If you are preparing pattis ahead of time, then make sure you heat them up before serving.
So let us see how to make ragda patties at home, instead of buying them on the streets.
- 2 Potato (Boiled and peeled)
- 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Coriander powder /Dhania
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin powder/Jeera
- 1 Teaspoon Garam masala
- 1 Teaspoon Chat masala
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 2 Tablespoons of Breadcrumbs or Rawa(Semolina) + Extra for dusting
- Salt to taste

- 1 Tablespoon oil
- 1 Cup Dried peas
- 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic paste
- 1Â Chopped Onion
- 2 Finely Chopped Tomatoes
- 1 Finely chopped  Green chili
- 1 Teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 Teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 Teaspoon Garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup Green Chutney
- 1/2 cup Sweet Chutney
- Few Chopped Coriander Leaves
- 1/2 Cup Finely Chopped Onions
- 1 Cup Sev

Method for Ragda:
Once onions turn golden brown, add red chili powder, Turmeric Powder ,Garam masala and salt.
