Coming to food, recently I have decided to make some ready premixes which can be used to prepare few Instant gravies. These premixes are prepared and refrigerated for upto 6 months.
Red curry premix is one among them and a life saver if you expect guests .You can impress them by serving some exotic gravies. I have prepared chicken tikka masala using this premix but lot of other curries including paneer tikka masala, Veg Kolhapuri, Veg Handi can be prepared. If you are running out of ideas for lunch / dinner, you can even use this Instant Punjabi Gravy Premix for making delicious starters.
Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Yields :120-140 Grams
- 10 Grams Cashew Powder
- 10 Grams Sesame Powder
- 10 Grams Melon Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ginger Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 1/2 Tablespoon Onion Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Powder Sugar
- 1/2 Tablespoon Tomato Powder
- 2 1/2 Tablespoon Kashmiri Red chili powder
- 1 Tablespoon Dhania Powder/ Coriander seeds Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Haldi/Turmeric Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Roasted Maida/ All purpose flour
- 20 Grams Milk Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 3-4 Back pepper
- 2 Cloves
- 1 medium cinnamon stick
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1 Black Cardamom
- 1/2 Tablespoon Kasoori Methi
- 1 Teaspoon oil
Take all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
To fry whole spices, heat oil and on medium heat fry whole spices till they are fragrant.
Allow whole spices to cool completely and then mix with the dry spice mixture.
And our Red curry premix is done. Isn’t it quick ? Now you don’t have to worry about what to prepare for lunch. Store this in airtight glass jar and use whenever required. You can refrigerate this spice mix for about 6 months and use for different gravies. Using this full Red curry premix curry can be made for 4-5 people.
