Cauliflower Mac And Cheese

Winter season is around the corner and we all can feel refreshing cool winds in the mornings and evenings. Winter season also means that there will be seasonal food available in a matter of a few days or weeks. I love cauliflower a lot because I know a few recipes that bring out the best flavors of cauliflower. I love cutting cauliflower and other vegetables with my best knife set because it allows me to give different designs and patterns.
But, my kids are not much fond of this vegetable, and they make all sorts of excuses to avoid it. They are more into snacks and junk food, which bothers me a lot because I don’t want my kids to suffer from obesity and cardiovascular diseases in the future. I’m sure you have the same concerns for your children. In order to keep my children away from junk food, I came up with a cauliflower recipe, which is easy to prepare, but the best part of the recipe is that it tastes delicious.
Ingredients :Â
- 1 cauliflower, cut into small florets of
equal sizes - ¼ cup plain flour
- 150 grams macaroni
- 150 gram Turkish or ciabatta bread, torn into small pieces
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 2 tablespoons Dairy Soft Spread
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- ¼ cup chives, chopped using the best knife
set - 2 cups (500ml) Full Cream Long Life Milk
- 60 gram Dairy Soft Spread, melted
- 1 cup (120g) shredded Tasty Cheese
- 1 cup (120g) shredded Tasty Cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Method:
Start off by preheating the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Then, grease an ovenproof dish with a capacity of 2.5 liters.
Take a large saucepan and add some water in it. Turn on the heat and boil water. Then, add the pasta to the pan and cook for 3 minutes. Now, add cauliflower into the pan and cook for 8-10 minutes or until the pasta becomes soft and cauliflower becomes tender. Drain water from the pan.
Take another pan now and add flour, milk, nutmeg and spread in it. Cook these ingredients over medium heat and whisk constantly for approximately 5 minutes or until you see the mixture becoming thick. As soon as the mixture boils and becomes thick, add seasoning.
Take a large bowl and add shredded mozzarella and cheese in it. You will have to take this cheese mixture and pour half of it over the pasta and cauliflower mixture along with sauce from the medium saucepan and half of the chives.
Stir all the mixture gently so that it could combine properly. Then, take that ovenproof dish, which you have greased and add bread, garlic, extra spread, cheese mixture and rest of the chives in that bowl. Add pasta on the top and begin the baking process. Bake the pasta for 15-20 minutes or until it turns golden in color. Your pasta is ready now. Call your children and serve this amazing dish to them.
Cauliflower mac and cheese is a perfect way of making your children eat cauliflower. There are a number of health benefits of cauliflower, which are:
