Today, let’s see how to prepare avocado cream cheese puffs. This is a yummy and healthy snack , especially for kids who make lot of fuss eating veggies. The recipe is very easy and also you can vary the stuffing according to your choice.
So let us see how to prepare this yummy appetizer.

Total Time: 30 Mins
- 1 Puff pastry sheet, Thawed for 10 minutes
- 1 Ripe Avocado
- Some Cream Cheese
- Tabasco Sauce(or substitute with Tomato Ketchup)
- 1 Tablespoon Lime Juice
- Cayenne Pepper Powder (Or Red chilli powder)
- Black Pepper Powder
- Flax Seeds for Garnishing(optional)
- 1/4 Cup milk for brushing the puff pastry sheets
- Salt to taste
Preheat oven to 400 degree Farenheit and prepare baking trays by placing silver foil greased with oil or using parchment paper.
Peel an avocado and mesh with a fork. Add lime juice and mix well.
Keep this aside.
With a knife or pizza cutter, cut the pastry sheet into 3 inch by 3 inch squares.
I got about 10 squares.
Place 5 squares on the prepared baking tray.
Brush each square with milk using brush.
Place a scoop of avocado mixture on each square.
On top, place 1 Teaspoon of cream cheese,
Sprinkle some Cayenne Pepper, black pepper powder and salt
Top up with 3-4 drops of Tobasco Sauce(Or tomato ketchup) .
Place the remaining squares on top of these filled squares as lids .
Seal them by pressing the edges with a fork.
Apply Milk on top of all these puffs. This gives a nice glaze after they are baked.
Sprinkle some flax seeds on top and gently press them.
Bake them for 15 minutes or until they are browned.
Remove from the oven and serve.
