Fresh Catfish Gravy
Catfish is a soft and very tasty fish. Here in USA we get fresh Catfish right out of tank. They  taste good even if you do simple rava fry. Here’s the tasty step by step recipe of Catfish in Gravy for you. Gets done very quickly and very tasty.  You can eat this easy catfish gravy with rice or any bread.Â
Ingredients:
- Cat fish pieces 7-8
- Whole garam masala like 3-4 Black Pepper,3-4 Coves, 1 tsp fennel seeds(saunf) and 1/2 inch Cinnamon stick.
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- salt to taste
- 1 onion sliced
- 1 tbsp oil for frying spices
- 1 Tomato cut into small pieces
- 3-4Â green chilies
- 2-3 Garlic cloves
- 1/2 inch ginger
- 1 Cup Coriander leaves
Method:
Wash and marinate catfish with a tablespoon of salt for 10 minutes.
Add oil in a heated wok and fry above garam masala, that should take around a minute.
Remove once you get nice fragrance and keep aside.
In the same wok, fry onions until golden brown. Add tomatoes and cook for around a minute. Add turmeric.
Grind this along with ginger and garlic until smooth paste.
Now in a wok take catfish, add half a cup of water, cover and cook for 5-10 minutes.
Add the paste into catfish,mix, add salt cover and cook for about 5 minutes.
Check in between if the cat fish is cooked using tooth pick. It should feel soft.
Once done, turn off the stove and serve  your cat fish gravy with bread or rice.
