Cream Rolls also called Creme Roll is a Afghani recipe. Rolls are made filled with heavy whipped cream. Very Tasty.
Here is the step by step recipe of how to make cream rolls.
Ingredients for making Rolls:
- 1 Puff pastry sheet (makes 4 rolls)
- 4 Ice cream cones
- Sugar for dusting
- 1 Egg beaten properly for coating
Ingredients for making Cream filling:
- 1 Pint of heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
Steps for Making Cream Rolls:
Take out the frozen pastry sheet and keep outside for 10 minutes.
make 4 square pieces of silver foil for wrapping around the cones. Silver foils are wrapped so that when we wrap patty strips around ice cream cones, they don’t stick to the cones.
Wrap all the cones with foil and keep aside.
Now make markings on the puff pastry sheet for cutting strips and then slowly cut the strips and wrap them around the ice cream cones nicely.
Brush the prepared pastry sheet cones with the beaten egg and sprinkle some sugar on all the sides. This gives a good glaze to the cones.
Arrange them on the rack and bake on 350 degree Fahrenheit preheated oven for around 10-15 minutes.
Remove and keep until they are completely cooled.
After cooling, gently remove the cones from inside. Now the Rolls are ready to be filled.
Steps for Making filling for the Cream Rolls:
Because I work with desserts and patisseries so often, I have certain equipment to make my life easier. Cream chargers are one of these things.
