Goan Sangacho Ross/ Drumstick Curry
Sangacho ross or drumstick curry is a Goan Vegetarian curry served with rice. Drumsticks are rich in Iron and also tastes good even if you just boil them with little salt.
Sangacho ross is  very simple, easy to prepare and tastes delicious.
So let’s start with this easy and healthy curry.

Ingredients:
- 2-3 Drumsticks
- 5 Tablespoons of Toor Dal / Pigeon Peas
- 1/2 Onion chopped very fine
- Salt to taste
For Paste:
- 4-5 Tablespoons of freshly grated coconut
- Marble size ball of Tamarind
- Marble size ball of Jaggery
- 4-5 Dry red chillies
- 1 Teaspoon coriander seeds
- 5-6 Black pepper
- 1 Teaspoon of Haldi / Turmeric
Method:
Wash and soak Toor dal for an hour.
Pressure cook it for upto 1 whistle.
Grind the ingredients mentioned in the paste with very little water and keep aside.
Wash and cut drumsticks into 4 inch size pieces.
Boil them along with chopped onion on high heat with a cup of water  till soft. This will take around 5-6 minutes.
Retain the water for later use.
Take the cooked dal in the vessel and add the coconut paste. Also add boiled drumsticks along with onions. Mix well.
Add the retained water from drumsticks according to consistency preference for the gravy .
Let it cook for about 5 minutes on medium high heat.
Add salt , mix well and remove from heat.
Enjoy this easy sangacho ross with Hot rice.
