Healthy Chicken Burger
I always have to think about what snack to give to my son once he returns from school. I want him to enjoy what he is eating and it should be also healthy. Normally kids like pizzas, burgers but instead of buying them from outside, I prefer making them at home with a healthy touch. The kids always otherwise are fussy eaters especially with vegetables. So we moms have to constantly think about how to make them go in their tummies. As a result, we keep hiding them somewhere or the other in their food. But my son catches me many times so this time I decided to prepare something with spinach but making it taste delicious by hiding in his favorite burger buns. This is one of my healthy recipes, very simple and quick to prepare. You can prepare the patties and refrigerate and use whenever required by warming in the oven. The patty is made out of chicken which is marinated with spinach paste, mixed with some spices and then baked .Â
Ingredients:
- 2 whole wheat hot dog buns
- 2-3 big boneless, skinless chicken pieces
- 1 cup baby  spinach
- 1Â cheese slice
- Some tomato slices
- 1 Teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon lime juice
- Ranch sauce
Spices:
- 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
- 1 Teaspoon black pepper powder
- 1Â Teaspoon Ginger Garlic paste
- 1 Tablespoon Ready made Tandoori Masala paste
Method:
Grind the Spinach with just 1/2 tablespoon of water.
Add all the spices into the paste, mix well and keep aside.
Wash the chicken thoroughly, apply above salt and lime juice and keep for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, apply spinach paste  and keep for marination for 30 minutes.
Arrange the pieces in a baking tray lined with silver foil.
In a preheated oven to 350 degree Farenheit, bake the chicken for 20 minutes.
Cut the cheese slice into 2 triangles.
Open one of the buns and spread 1 tablespoon of ranch sauce.
Place baked chicken piece . Top it up with cheese slice piece.
Now arrange 2 tomato slices on top and again drizzle some ranch sauce on top.
Cover the bun with top half and let your kids enjoy healthy spinach chicken burger.
