Easy Crab Masala / Crab Curry Goan Style
This is my first attempt of tried and tested authentic Goan recipe what we call “Kulyanche Tonak”( Crab Curry) or “Kulyanchi Xacuti”. Earlier I had only eaten this cooked by my mom. Then I started getting Crabs allergy so I stopped eating and Few days back, My son saw these live crabs in Fish Store and asked me to cook for him. In my childhood I was crazy about Crabs . My mom used to do fantastic Crabs Masala. But because of my allergy I lost the touch of it, so I called up mom and got this superb authentic Goan Crab recipe also called as xecxec. I got a terrific positive feedback from my family for this and would try rava fried crabs too.
So here is the step by step easy crab masala recipe for you.

Now keep a wok on the stove. Add a tbsp of oil and fry chopped onions till golden brown. Add Chopped tomatoes and cook until tomatoes become nice soft and mushy. Add marinated crabs, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add coconut paste into the crabs, salt , cover and cook for around 15 minutes on low heat.
The more you cook the crabs in the gravy, the more  tasty is the output.
