Caramel custard Pudding is the most demanded recipe among kids and adults. Mostly it is cooked in pressure cooker but here , I have baked it.
So here goes the Step by Step recipe for baked Caramel Custard.
- 6 Eggs
- 500 ml Milk
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 6-8 tbsp sugar for Caramel
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
Take milk in a mixing bowl. in another bowl, break eggs and beat properly with electric hand mixer. Add sugar and beat again. Now add vanilla essence and mix. Add milk and beat again.
Keep a wok on stove. Add 6-8 tbsp sugar with few drops of water and keep heating until it nicely gets caramelized to golden color. Pour caramel in the bowl of your desired shape. Custard pudding can be prepared in square, round shape , depending on the bowl or vessel you use to cook. Now, prepare heat bath. Heat bath is required for slow cooking. For that, take some water in a baking tray and keep the caramel poured bowl into this baking tray.
Pour Prepared Custard into this bowl.
Keep this bowl placed in the heat bath in the 350 degree Fahrenheit preheated oven for around 35-40 minutes.
Remove when done. Check with toothpick if it is been cooked well. Toothpick should come out clean.
After cooling, refrigerate for 2-3 hours and then remove it on the plate.
Garnish and serve.
