Chicken Liver Masala Fry |Kaleji Fry Recipe
Chicken liver masala fry contains lots of flavors of onion, ginger garlic and dry spices .It is a dry dish normally served as a starter or snack. Gravy can be prepared by adding extra water in it.
If you have tried my Paplet tandoori which is a great appetizer, then my Chicken liver masala fry is a must try. Very easy recipe and can be prepared in just 20 minutes.
Chicken Liver is not kind of food but my kid and hubby’s favorite part whenever we buy whole chicken. So every time I make chicken, the liver part goes in my hubby’s and son’s plate.
This time thought of making something different using liver ,so this morning bought extra chicken liver to make Liver masala.
Marination Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 10 Minutes
Serves : 2
Ingredients for Marinade :
500 grams liver
1Teaspoon Red chili Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
1 Tablespoon Lime juice
1 Tablespoon oil
1 Tablespoon Salt
Other Ingredients :
4 Tablespoons oil
3 Cloves
3 Peppercorns
3 Green Cardamoms
1 Inch Cinnamon
1 Chopped onion , Large size
1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
1 Teaspoon Red chili Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
1Teaspoon Coriander Powder
Handful of chopped Coriander leaves/Cilantro
1/2 Cup Water
Salt to taste
Method:
Clean chicken liver pieces well add marinade ingredients.
Keep aside for marination for 10-15 minutes.
Heat a skillet , Drizzle a tablespoon of oil and place liver pieces .
They should be properly fried on both the sides on medium high heat.
Now take a pan , add 2 tablespoons oil.
Once the oil is hot, fry 3 cloves, 3 pepper corns, 1 inch cinnamon for a minute .
Add chopped onion and ginger garlic paste. Fry till onion turn transluscent.
Add chili powder, Turmeric powder and coriander powder. Mix and saute for just a few seconds.
Add water ,mix and let it come to boil.
Add fried liver, mix, cover and let it cook for 10 minutes .
Add garam masala and salt. Mix.
Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Cover and simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
Remove and serve it as an appetizer or can also be served with roti.
