Fish Cake or Patties/ Fish Cutlet
This is an Asian version specially Goan(Indian) version of fish cake . Can be prepared when you have any left over fish lying in the freezer and want to make some quick,easy and good fish recipes other then the traditional fried fish or fish curry. This fish patty is called as dangar in Konkani. I have prepared this using visvan or isvan(kingfish) but you can use any kind of fish. Fish patty can be eaten as it is or can be used with burger bread.
So here is the step by step recipe of fish cutlet.

Ingredients:
- 1 big king fish piece(boil it until it changes color )
- 1/4 Cup chopped onion
- 1 green chilli chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 Teaspoon Garam masala
- 1 Teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 Teaspoon Haldi/Turmeric powder
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger garlic paste
- 4 Tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
- Sooji/ Rava/ semolina for dusting
- Oil for shallow fry
- salt to  taste
Method:
 Boil kingfish for around 5 minutes on medium high flame .
Remove bone.
shred it using hand.
Mix all the above ingredients with fish except semolina .
Make tennis ball size balls and dust with semolina.
Heat skillet, add oil and arrange these balls on it . Press a little to flatten .
Fry on one side on medium flame for about 2-3 minutes and then flip . Repeat.
Remove when they look little browned and crisp.
Serve hot . Enjoy during lunch , dinner or as a snack.
