Goan Prawns Curry | Shrimp Curry | Sungtache Human

Ingredients:
- Fresh cleaned prawns 1 cup
- 1 cup freshly grated coconut
- 1 onion
- small ball of tamarind
- 2-3 black pepper
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
- 2-3 slit green chillies
- 1 tsp turmeric powder or haldi powder
- 4-5 dry red chillies
- Pinch of Hing or Asafoetida
- salt to taste
Method:
Remove the skin of prawns, clean them and keep aside. chop the onion . In a wok, take prawns and chopped onions, slit green chilies,  Add hing or Asafetida  , little water and boil. Cook till the prawns are done.
In the mean time, grind coconut, tamarind, pepper, coriander seeds, turmeric and chilies into very fine paste.
Once the prawns are cooked, add this paste in the prawns . Cook for another 2-3 minutes. Switch off the stove and its ready to be served.
This curry tastes awesome with parboiled rice or ukde tandool what we call it in Goa.

Instead of tumarind, you can use either mango long slicesa, or even tomato ground paste in goan shrimp curry
Sure you may . But might slightly differ the taste .
This is so easy. I did have an extra step as I had to make the tandoor masala but once that was made, it was such a breeze. No peeling ginger or garlic and chopping. What could be a quicker Goan curry fix than this amazing recipe. Thank you!!!
