Instant Gobi Manchurian / Recipe for Gobi Manchurian Dry / No Oil Gobi Manchurian

Califlower is called as gobi in Hindi. Traditionally, gobi manchurian is done by deep frying the cauliflower florets. But I have tried out the healthy version of it that is without deep frying .
Serves for 1 person
Total time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- Cauliflower cut into bite size pieces( around 15-20)
- 1 cup of maida or all purpose flour
- 1/2 Cup of water
- 3-4 tbsps of gram flour or chana daal or besan
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- salt to taste
- 1-2 tbsp of corn flour for thickening the sauce
- Oil for greasing
- 1 cup low sodium soya sauce
- 3-4 tbsps tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp grated ginger and garlic each
- 1 green bell pepper cut into cubes

Method:
Cut the cauliflower into bite size pieces. Add 1/2 cup of water and microwave for about 4 minutes on high.
For batter preparation, in a bowl take all purpose flour, gram flour, black pepper powder , red chilli powder and salt. Mix and add little water to prepare thick batter.
Dip cauliflower florets into this batter. coat each one properly. Now grease microwave plate with little oil and arrange these florets on the plate keeping distance between each. Microwave for about 7-8 minutes . Remove and keep outside.
Now for sauce, heat 1 tsp of oil and add grated ginger , garlic. fry a little and add bell pepper pieces. Fry for a minute.
Add soya sauce, tomato ketchup and water. Boil it for around 2 minutes. Add corn flour to thicken the sauce.            Â
  After the sauce thickens, add the prepared cauliflower florets into this. Coat well . Switch off the gas and serve your hot no oil version of Gobi Manchurian  with chapati, Naan or Parathas.Â
