Mini Bruschettas
Bruschetta is an starter dish from Italy where grilled bread is topped with olive oil, tomatoes, basil leaves, garlic sand salt.
It is usually served as a snack or appetizer. The recipe is quite simple and easy. The toppings can be altered as per ones preference. You can also use minced meat as an addition to the topping. So let’s Start with our Mini Bruschettas.
Ingredients:
- 2 Tomatoes Finely chopped
- 1 Big Bell pepper Finely chopped
- 1/2 Cup vinegar
- 1/2 Cup Olive Oil + Extra for brushing
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Dry Basil Leaves
- Salt to taste
- French Bread
Method:
Mix together vinegar, oil , pepper powder, basil leaves and salt and add chopped tomatoes and bell pepper.
Keep for at least 30 minutes.
Cut the Bread into bite size pieces .
Arrange them on a wired rack lined with silver foil.
Brush these bread pieces with oil.
Sprinkle some cheese .
Take a spoon full of tomato bell pepper . Squeeze all the juice out completely and place it on one of the bread piece. Repeat for all.
Sprinkle cheese again on top.
Sprinkle basil leaves and broil them in the oven at 350 degree Fahrenheit for 2-3 minutes.
Serve hot with pesto sauce or tomato ketchup.
