Homemade Strawberry Jam
The other day, I had lots of strawberries lying in my refrigerator. Bought the extra by mistake and was wondering what to do about them. I know they don’t last too long even in  the refrigerator.
So thought of making this quick and easy strawberry jam . It requires just 2 ingredients, Strawberries and sugar . That’s all. This jam is prepared without pectin.
Only thing is that, you have  to be constantly near it . You have to make sure that it doesn’t stick to the bottom. Preferably use non stick pot to prepare it.
Yields: 1/2 Cup
time: 35 Mins
Ingredients:
- 1 Pound(453 Grams) Fresh Strawberry
- 1 Cup (200 Grams) Granulated Sugar
Method:
Wash and grind strawberries to smooth puree.
Don’t use any water.
Pour it in a non stick cooking pot, add in sugar and cook on high heat till till it bubbles up.
Stir continuously. Now lower the heat to medium and keep stirring. Gradually you will see it thickening. Keep scraping the sides and bottom of the pot.
After about 30 minutes, you will see that the mixture is fully thickened and started leaving the sides and bottom of the pot.
At this point, switch off the stove and remove it from the heat. Once it cools down, store in a glass jar and refrigerate. Enjoy any time with bread.
