Goan Kann / Mung Dal Kheer/ Split Mung Beans Pudding
Kann is a popular easy  Goan(Indian) payasam , enjoyed for any occasion.
This dessert is very easy and quick to prepare and also Protein packed. Also, since jaggery is used, which act as a digestive agent, sweeten your food in a healthy manner, and provide good amounts of minerals.

Cooking Time: 15 Minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 Cup Coconut Milk
- 1 1/2 Cup Mung Dal
- 1/2 Cup Jaggery
- Hand Full of Cashew Nuts(Optional)
- Hand Full of Golden Raisins(Optional)
- 1 Cup water
- Pinch of salt
- 1 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
Method:
Dry Roast mung dal on medium  heat until nice aroma comes out. This will take 2 minutes.
Add water in dal cover and boil it until soft. This will take 10 minutes.
Once softened, add jaggery. Mix,add little more water and cook until jaggery is melted well.
Add coconut milk ,nuts and raisins.
Add salt,
Mix . Cook till it boils .
Add Cardamom powder, Mix.
Remove from heat.
Serve it hot or chilled.
