Homemade Chicken Nachos/Easy Nachos Recipe
Nachos are kind of chips , originated from Mexico in 1943. Â It is a kind of snack or appetizer enjoyed any time during the day. Later new snack was invented from nachos and available in the market called Tortillas. They are fried chips in triangular shape normally served with cheese, jalepano and peppers.
Though you can eat these tortillas as they are, you can spice them up and prepare various nacho appetizers like , salsa nachos, bbq chicken nachos  , buffalo chicken nachos or just the simple cheese nachos.
Few days back  I tried these chicken nachos in a Mexican restaurant and just loved the taste ,so decided to try them out at home. The recipe is very easy and can be done in a very short time.
So lets see how to make chicken nachos at home.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Bake Time: 5 Minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pound boneless chicken boil and shred
- 2 Big Tomatoes chopped very fine
- 2Â Tablespoons Taco Seasoning
- 2 Tablespoons chili powder (Adjust according to how hot you want your nachos). Mine became super hot.
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 4 Tablespoons Tomato Ketchup
- A few dashes hot sauce
- 1 Large bag of Tortilla chips
- 2Â Â cups (approximate) grated Cheddar-Jack
- 1/4 cup  Jalapeno Slices(jarred)
- 3 Green Onions, chopped very fine
- 1/4 cup sour cream (Optional)
- 1 Avocado(Optional))
- A Teaspoon of Lime Juice
- Salt
Method:
Peel and mesh Avocado in a bowl. Add a teaspoon of lime juice and a teaspoon of salt. Mix well and keep aside.
In another bowl, mix together Taco seasoning, chili powder and add shredded Chicken.
Heat 2 Tablespoons of oil in a saucepan kept on medium heat and pour in this shredded chicken  in it. Saute for a minute. Remove on a plate and keep aside.
In the same saucepan add 1/2 Cup Water, ketchup, hot sauce and mix well. Let it boil.
Pour in the chicken which is kept aside. Mix well.
Let it cook on medium heat until all the moisture is absorbed and chicken gets dried. this will take around 7-8 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sprinkle a layer of tortilla chips onto  ovenproof Tray or baking dish. Pour some chicken on top. Sprinkle  with cheese and then a layer of chips again. repeat with the remaining chicken and finish with an extra sprinkling of cheese.
Bake just until the cheese melts, 5 to 10 minutes.
Sprinkle  green onions, jalapeno slices and tomato cubes over these prepared nachos. You can use any nachos dip along with it.
Serve these crispy homemade Chicken Nachos with a scoop of sour cream and meshed avocado scoop.
