Easy Kurmura Ladoo
Earlier I have published many of Indian Sweet recipes like Mysore pak, coconut ladoo, chivda, etc, which are traditionally prepared during festivals in India .Â
But today, I am going to show you how to make Kurmura ladoo (we call it Chirmulyanche ladoo in Goa). These are very simple and can be prepared instantly.
These tasty and crunchy ladoos are being loved from 5 years olds to 100 years olds. Believe me, the moment you prepare them, they will be finished by your family.
To prepare these yummy ladoos, we require just 3 ingredients, Kurmura(puffed rice), jaggery and little ghee.
Please refer to my puffed rice ladoo recipe video , for further guidance.
So let us begin with these easy ladoo.
Yields: 10-12 Ladoos
Preparation Time: 10Â Minutes
Cooking Time: 5 Minutes
Total Time: 15 Minutes
Ingredients:
- 4 Cups Kurmura /Puffed  Rice
- 260 Grams Grated or broken Jaggery
- 1 Tablespoon Ghee/Clarified Butter
Method:
Dry roast Kurmura in a cooking pot on medium heat for 2 minutes.
Remove and keep aside.
Add ghee in the same pot and once it melts, add jaggery .
Cook jaggery on very low heat until it melts completely. Will take 1-2 minutes.
Add Kurmura and mix well.
Remove from heat and let it cool for a minute or two.
Don’t wait until it cools down completely, otherwise you won’t be able able to give them shape, because the jaggery will become dry.
Wet your palms using water, scoop some Kurmura mixture and shape up the ladoo.
Enjoy easy and tasty Kurmura ladoo, and store the remaining in the air tight container.
